Nick Rolovich alleges Washington State wanted him to get COVID vax on the field: ‘No desire to do that’


Former Washington State head soccer coach Nick Rolovich has sued Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, the college and WSU athletic director Pat Chun, in search of damages after he was fired by the college in October 2021 for remaining unvaccinated towards COVID-19. 

The grievance “accommodates eight counts, together with breach of contract, discrimination towards faith, wrongful withholding of wages and violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act in addition to the First and 14th amendments,” in accordance with ESPN.

Rolovich, who’s Catholic, had his non secular exemption denied and was fired together with 4 different coaches on his workers in October 2021. 

On the podcast, Rolovich alleged that his non secular exemption to the vaccine was initially accepted, however after some “forwards and backwards” between the AD and human sources, his exemption was denied, and he was fired for trigger.

Following the information of Rolovich’s lawsuit, Washington State launched a press release saying the varsity will “vigorously defend” itself. 

“Washington State College carried out the Governor’s COVID-19 vaccination proclamation for state staff in a good and lawful method, together with in its analysis of worker requests for medical or non secular exemptions and lodging,” Washington State stated in a press release, in accordance with ESPN.

Washington State College did not reply to Fox Information Digital’s request for touch upon Rolovich’s most up-to-date remarks.
