A scholar pilot was making an attempt to land a small aircraft at a central Florida airport when it collided with one other small aircraft, sending each plane crashing right into a lake and killing 4 individuals, a preliminary report launched Tuesday mentioned.
A Piper J-3 Cub seaplane and a Piper PA-28 Cherokee fixed-wing aircraft have been each conducting tutorial flights after they collided March 7 over Lake Hartridge close to Winter Haven Regional Airport, a Nationwide Transportation Security Board report mentioned. Winter Haven is about 40 miles southwest of Orlando.
