7-foot alligator found in California river dies after rescue


A seven-foot alligator was present in a California river and wildlife authorities aren’t certain how the animal obtained there.

Patrick Foy, a legislation enforcement division captain with the California Division of Fish and Wildlife, confirmed to Fox Information Digital that the alligator was present in Sacramento County in early April, however the reptile has died.

Earlier than the alligator’s demise, the animal was captured and introduced into the Wildlife Care Affiliation of Sacramento, a wildlife rescue in McClellan, California, by a person who claimed to have discovered the alligator swimming within the American River close to Sailor Bar Regional Park.
