New Hampshire man arrested, charged in 2 pipe bomb explosions in same town


A person has been arrested in reference to two pipe bombs, one in every of which injured a bystander, that exploded in a New Hampshire city this week, federal authorities stated. 

Dale Stewart Jr., 54, faces a number of felony costs in connection to the 2 explosions that rocked the small city of Weare, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives stated Friday. 

Authorities stated Stewart was arrested Thursday after his car was recognized in the course of the investigation.

The primary pipe bomb exploded Dustin Tavern Highway simply after 6 p.m. Wednesday evening, whereas the second explosion occurred 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning. No accidents had been reported within the first blast. 

A passerby sustained minor accidents in the course of the second. Authorities haven’t disclosed a motive for the bombs. 

Stewart can be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court docket Friday on two felony costs of throwing/ putting explosives, three felony counts of possession of an infernal machine, two felony counts of conduct with a lethal weapon, 2nd-degree assault with excessive distinction, disorderly conduct and legal mischief, the Weare Police Division stated.
