A Riverside County sheriff’s deputy was killed Monday in an off-duty crash whereas driving a bike in Riverside, based on authorities.
Deputy Andrew Davidson, 23, was driving a Yamaha motorbike round 8:30 a.m. when the crash occurred on Van Buren Boulevard close to Garfield Avenue, the Riverside Police Division posted on Fb. A Toyota Camry pushed by a 66-year-old man collided with Davidson’s motorbike, based on police.
Davidson was taken to a hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless, police stated.
The person within the sedan was taken to a hospital for minor accidents, based on police.
Davidson joined the Sheriff’s Division in March 2022 and was assigned to the Perris station, police stated.
“We lengthen our deepest sympathies to the household and buddies of Deputy Davidson,” the Sheriff’s Division posted on Twitter.
Davidson is no less than the third Riverside County deputy to have died since December.
Isaiah Cordero, 32, was fatally shot on Dec. 29 throughout a visitors cease in Jurupa Valley. Two weeks later, Darnell Calhoun, 30, was fatally shot whereas responding to a name involving home violence and a baby custody matter in Lakeland Village.
