A day after masked males beat him up, broke two of his ribs and stole his French bulldog throughout an early-morning stroll in Ladera Heights, the proprietor was reunited Thursday along with his prized pup, Bruno.
Stefan Becker instructed The Instances that an animal shelter had referred to as to tell him that his almost 3-year-old canine had been handed over to it.
“It’s our Bruno. We obtained him protected and sound!” he stated in a textual content message.
Becker stated he was strolling Bruno round 5:45 a.m. Wednesday when he was confronted within the 6400 block of Wooster Avenue by a gaggle of three or 4 males who exited a silver Toyota Camry. The boys, who had been sporting hoodies, gloves and ski masks, beat Becker and took his canine, he stated.
One man yelled, “Give me the f—ing canine!” Becker stated.
Becker stated a person punched him within the face, knocking him to the bottom. Bruno ran away, and one or two males started kicking Becker within the torso, he stated, breaking two of his ribs.
A person ran after Bruno and picked him up as the canine “screamed and yelled,” in keeping with Becker. The boys obtained into the Camry and drove away, he stated.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division has not made any arrests within the case.
The theft was the most recent in a string of French bulldog thefts in Los Angeles over the previous couple of years. In 2021, Girl Gaga’s French bulldogs had been stolen after thieves shot her dogwalker in Hollywood.
